We all know that life can be quite difficult. We encounter different challenges and obstacles practically every day and each of us use different techniques with which to deal with these difficulties. Because they don't know of a positive way to handle obstacles, some people choose drugs, gangs or other self-destructive outlets for getting through life. Not only are these self destructive outlets not healthy, they also fail to bring true happiness and peace to the one using them. Still, they use these self destructive defense mechanisms because they were never taught positive ways to handle obstacles.
Camp Imaginations wants to help your child discover at least one constructive, positive mechanism to deal with life's obstacles. We believe that every, single child has a special, creative talent that is just theirs! Some children write beautifully, some sing, some act, some play a sport, but every child has at least one talent they do very well and which, more importantly, provides them with confidence. We believe that their talents, if they are taught how to use them, can help them successfully handle any life obstacle.
The camps, Camp Me and Camp Discovery are designed to teach children how to find, develop and use their creative talents to become happy and confident adults who use constructive defense mechanisms to get through life's challenges
